Amazing - Rare Coins

In writing, some articles on coin collecting I was amazed at how interesting it seemed but more than that I was taken aback by just how many coins are out there. When looking at just the American coins of value it was amazing to me. I really had no idea that we used to have 2 cent , 3 cent ½ cent coins, and the value of some of the $10 and $20 rare coins were just overwhelming. I read on one these coin collecting websites that they had an American double Eagle $20 coin sell for $483,000. Now that is a lot of coin.
