The Canadian dollar goes from strength to strength

The other day I was speaking with a friend who plans to visit Canada. One of the issues he raised was how high the Canadian dollar is. In less than a few years, this currency exchange rates has exceeded parity. Driven by demand for its resources such as oil from countries like China, the demand for its currency has really gained momentum as the US has been steadily declining. It will be interesting to see how far this goes. If the US dollar continues to decline, Canadians will enjoy a great deal of purchasing power in the US.
