Local property appraisals

Local officials appraise and set the value of your property and set your tax rates as well as collect your taxes, however, state law governs how the process works. Local government spending on all other services such as highways, water, public protection, sanitation, and therefore, while Medicaid costs may be growing faster than other local government costs, it represents a much smaller share of the overall local tax burden, far surpassed by all other local government spending and public education.

The Government and College Loans
Posted by admin on September 9, 2008 in Finance :: Mortgage & Debt
Of course, the government also gives out financial aid college loans. Government loans are probably the best way to go. They often will allow you to defer payments on your financial college aid, and are even flexible about deadlines should your college education take longer than you expected. Private financial aid for college is usually targeted towards making as much money off of you as possible, but government loans are often put out there in the interest of ensuring more productive members in underrepresented sectors of the work force. If you are willing to choose your college major ahead of time, it often makes you eligible for loans that would not normally be available. Put some serious thought into what you want to spend your life doing or read a lot of credit card debt articles. It is always easier to make your future when you know what your future will be.
Wondering About Financial Planning Careers
Posted by admin on September 9, 2008 in Finance :: Stocks, Bond & Forex
I think it’s high time I learned more about
Financial Planning Careers. I’m sick of practicing law, and would rather help individual people out with their finances.
I’ve checked out some information on the Financial Planning Process, and it looks doable from my perspective.
I couldn’t possibly care less about working with big corporations. I much prefer to help people I know with their finances.
I’m sure I’ll have more to say about this down the line.
My Experiences With SEP IRA Plans
Posted by admin on September 7, 2008 in Finance :: Wealth-Building
So it appears that my company focuses on SEP IRA Plans as its primary retirement benefit setup. That means I have to get educated about how they work if I’m going to plan properly for my retirement.
In particular, I need to know more about Sep Accounts. There’s some decent stuff on the net about it, but it’s hard to stay focused on it. This stuff is just so dry and dull.
Hopefully I’ll be able to set things up and just let them coast after that. I don’t like micro-managing financial stuff.
Maybe you can help settle the matter - feel free to comment.

The Skinny On Investment Newsletter Rankings
Posted by admin on September 3, 2008 in Finance :: Trading / Investing
So lately I’ve been wondering about
investment newsletter rankings. I’m having a rough go of it, though.
Researching the Best Investment Newsletters has been a slow process, but I think I’m making some progress. It’s been frustrating at times, though.
The real risk of buying a bad investment newsletter is the investment losses, which can far outweigh the cost of the newsletter itself.
Oh well. I’m progressing slowly but surely.
Until next time.
How Annuities Work:Selling Annuities
Posted by admin on September 3, 2008 in Finance
The process of selling annuities will not make you rich unless you really know how it works. It is imperative that a seller has a detailed knowledge of the guidelines in selling annuities. For the purpose of clear communication between seller and buyer, the seller must understand how annuities work and know the various terms involved in annuity contracts and policies.
Present and future financial needs must be identified within the procedures of the annuity selling guide information. You will need to discount your prices by discounting future payments by the discount rate. Better prices can be obtained through a broker. The only drawback to this is brokers are very expensive
My Experiences With Medical Student Loans
Posted by admin on September 3, 2008 in Finance :: Mortgage & Debt
The cost of medical school is absolutely staggering these days. Looking into
Medical Student Loans is a scary prospect for anyone.
Researching
Medical School Loans has been depressing. I sometimes wonder if going into medicine is worth a lifetime of debt.
Even on a doctor’s salary, it’s hard to imagine paying off that level of debt load.
Please comment and let me know what you think.
Learning About Sustainable Investing
Posted by admin on August 30, 2008 in Finance :: Stocks, Bond & Forex
I’m shifting my entire investment portfolio to focus on
Sustainable Investing. I think I can finally do this without worrying about my returns - green business is good business, and people are finally starting to catch on.
I’m most excited about the great potential of
Socially Responsible Investments. All it would take for us to end our steady progression toward environmental disaster is for the market to wake up and demand better from our businesses. And it’s finally starting to happen.
Even the tiny effort of choosing to invest your personal savings in businesses who look to the future can make a difference if enough of us choose to do it.
I’ll keep you posted.

I’ve got a bee in my bonnet lately about Student Loans No Cosigner.
I don’t want to have to ask my family to co-sign on my loans.
Reading up on Student Loans For Adults With Poor Credit has been an eye-opener. Discouraging, even.
I know the life-long improvement in earnigs will be worth it, but it’s still scary.
