Posted by admin on July 1, 2008 in Finance :: Stocks, Bond & Forex
I’m getting more and more excited about
Green Investments these days. I think a world-wide boom in more enlightened businesses is just getting started. WE can finally do well by doing good.
I’m most looking forward to learning more about Green Mutual Funds. I think the potential is there to finally make some significant changes in the way business is done. And not a moment too soon.
I already vote with my wallet by paying attention to the products I buy, and cutting down on waste. It’s time to vote with my portfolio as well.
Thoughts On A Financial Planning Career
Posted by admin on June 16, 2008 in Finance :: Stocks, Bond & Forex
It seems to me that
A Financial Planning Career would be a good fit for me. I like learning about money and finance in general, and would love to help people get their financial houses in order.
I’ve read up on
the Institute Of Certified Financial Planners, and it looks like a law degree is a fine background for the business.
I’ve always preferred working for real people rather than corporations anyway.
Your comments are welcome as always.
Regarding Financial Planner Careers

It seems to me that
Financial Planner Careers would be a good fit for me. I like learning about money and finance in general, and would love to help people get their financial houses in order.
From what I have read about Independent Financial Advisors, it doesn’t appear too touch for someone with my background to break into the business.
I’d much rather help people find financial independence than keep working for bit corporations suing each other.
More on this soon.

I’ve been checking out the possibilities of
Green Investing more and more these days, and I am excited about them. I think it’s finally possible to put together a portfolio that’s good for your soul as well as the bottom line.
I’m most excited about the great potential of
Socially Responsible Investments. All it would take for us to end our steady progression toward environmental disaster is for the market to wake up and demand better from our businesses. And it’s finally starting to happen.
I already vote with my wallet by paying attention to the products I buy, and cutting down on waste. It’s time to vote with my portfolio as well.
The History of Forex
Posted by admin on May 2, 2008 in Finance :: Stocks, Bond & Forex
Computers and technology has caused the pace of the forex market to rapidly accelerate. Prior to the 1980s and the advent of these devices, the gold exchange was in effect. From 1876 to the First World War, the gold standard supported the value of currencies. The Bretton Woods Agreement of 1944 changed the standard to the dollar to prevent money from traveling in mass overseas. Upon this change, the tide of economic dominance shifted from Europe to North America. Countries were later forbidden from making major shifts in their currency (in terms of devaluing it) to try and generate more interest in trade. This agreement would last until 1971, when gold was completely abandoned as a form of tradable currency, changing the forex market in a big way.

The fund manager in the world of hedge fund business usually executes hedge funds strategies. This is done to avoid any kind of confusion besides making it sure that the complex tasks of hedge fund strategies are handled by a professional expert of repute. The Canadian dollar goes from strength to strength

The other day I was speaking with a friend who plans to visit Canada. One of the issues he raised was how high the Canadian dollar is. In less than a few years, this currency exchange rates has exceeded parity. Driven by demand for its resources such as oil from countries like China, the demand for its currency has really gained momentum as the US has been steadily declining. It will be interesting to see how far this goes. If the US dollar continues to decline, Canadians will enjoy a great deal of purchasing power in the US.
