Most people think of malpractice as being something that happens during an operation, and that can certainly be the case. In fact, most of the malpractice suits happen as a result of serious cancer treatments, appendicitis and heart attacks. Still, negligence on the part of a medical professional can happen as a result of treatment from anyone… from a dentist to someone working at a nursing home. If you feel as if you have been given improper treatment from your doctor, seek the help of a malpractice lawyer to see if you can get compensated for the injuries.

The Value of a Criminal Record Search

Posted by admin on February 1, 2008 in Business :: Legal

There is quite a lot of value that can be had from a proper  criminal record  search for employers. For one thing, they can tell with such a search if employees or job applicants are trustworthy enough to be allowed to handle certain tasks. For instance, those with a record of child abuse should not allowed to be teachers nor should they be allowed to work in a day care center and those with a history of violent crime should not be given jobs where they could endanger the lives of other employees. On the flipside, criminal records make it more difficult for people with records to find good jobs.

I am an oil merchant hailing from Saudi and it so happened that my vessels carrying oil supplies capsized in the sea due to violent winds and heavy rains. I thank the framers of this international maritime law for I received monetary compensation and benefits for this loss that had incurred to me. Without maritime law  pirates would still rule the seas, nations would  be fighting over territory and business operators like myself  would be at huge risk of going broke.
