Issues with VoIP Phone Systems

The ever increasing use Voice over Internet Protocol or VoIP phone systems has led to some legal and social issues in many countries. In the United States for example, there have been attempts to regulate this technology so that calls are more easily tracked, due o the threat of terrorism. Many emergency services are also unavailable through Voip, such as 911. Issues regarding wiretapping and network neutrality have also come up several times with regards to these phone systems and it’s unlikely that any concrete regulation can happen soon enough.
