The internet was once thought of as the development that would kill the practice of sending direct mail. After all, spamming will cost a company next to nothing, and millions of unsolicited bulk emails could be sent within only a few minutes. However, spamming generates a lot of ill will and the response rate is abysmal. Next to no one reads spam, especially if it isn’t personalized. direct mail has several key advantages over emails. First of, they can be designed in such ways that they could appeal to all the senses and hence, catch immediate positive attention. This is simply not possible with spam email, which is often deleted without even being read.
