PBX phone systems are short for Private Branch Exchange phone systems. These phone systems are very good solutions for offices that have a medium to large number of employees that can easily exchange lines among themselves, using a simple device known as an extension number. If you have ever called in an office and have had to press an extension number to specifically talk with someone, you will know that the office is using PBX phone systems. It really makes work simpler for them - instead of having a line for every employee they are having a single line, and funneling it out to all their employees through the PBX phone systems.
