Have you ever been at work and a coworker came up to you with a problem and you wanted to help him because you had once experienced that same problem but you could not remember where you got the information from that you got to fix the problem. That is where knowledge management comes into effect in a business. Harnessing the knowledge and putting into a form such as a database so that anyone in the organization can access that information and the knowledge can also be shared with other coworkers and also shared with other firms in the same industry.
