There are many types of durable medical equipment medical billing software on the market today and can be customized for the company and their billing practices. There are some companies that only use their DME for the doctor’s prescription services only, but they still need the medical billing software for the purchasing side of the equipment due to the fact that not all durable medical equipment is covered by insurance or not covered by it 100 percent and there will be a retail aspect involved with the patient. The medical billing software will keep track of all the invoices that have to do with insurance payments and patient payments.
