The Learning Management System for corporations and universities do have characteristics that are the same even though their reasons for using the Learning Management System are different. The characteristics shared by both are that both manage users, roles, courses, instructors, and facilities, they both have to generate reports, they both have a course catalog, both have learner messaging and notifications, both have assessment testing capable of handling student/employee pre/post testing, they both display scores and transcripts, they both are web-based or blended course delivery. Both, the corporations and the universities need to have a filing system in place to keep track of all their learning activities.
