Inter-project dependencies and intra-project dependencies have been a bane of many a organizations. This makes it necessary for any business organization to make sure that its project management system can handle dependencies very well. This is especially important where projects are being undertaken to develop products of multiple levels of complexity. Take the designing of a car. One team is designing the chassis and other is doing the interiors. The work on interior is generally done on the basis of development of chassis. Dependency handling allows the project management system to coordinate between both the projects so that as one part of chassis is done, interior on that part can instantly start on.
