Are Thoughts and Ideas Patentable?

This is a question that has probably been asked as much as anything else has. The answer might not be as simple as you think it is though; possibly is the best patent and inventor answer I can give you. It is not a clear or cut and dry yes or no; there are a few things that would determine the answer to this.
Part of this depends on exactly which direction you ideas or thoughts will take. If you idea leads you to invent something new or to improve on an existing product, that will lead to a patent; then it’s possible.
